Volunteer

HELP! Whoever you are, we – and your child – need your help: Chief Scout Bear Grylls says life is about grabbing opportunities! Volunteering with us is easy, fun and flexible – how much time you give is completely up to you.

Who are you?

‘Sometimes Steve’:  Someone who can give limited or irregular time each week
‘Sharing Sheila’: Someone who can’t commit to all the requirements of a conventional role but could be “half” (or a third or whatever) of a leader.
‘Holiday Harry’: Someone unable to make a term time commitment
‘Weekend Wendy’: Someone who can’t make a week day commitment
‘Behind-the-scenes Bob’: Someone who would like to volunteer supporting other adults
‘Skillful Suzanne’: Someone with specific skills to offer
‘Rota Rita’: Someone who can stop from time to time on meeting nights
‘Committee Charlie’: Someone who’d like to work behind the scenes
‘Active Anthony’: Someone who’d like to do active things to help but can offer a limited or irregular weekly commitment.

Whether you help out once a fortnight, month or term or just behind the scenes, at special events or camps, there is bound to be a role you can play, and no matter how you get involved, we’ll make sure you’re properly trained and supported.
